Meet Our Teachers

A teaching team is the beating heart of every kindergarten. Knowledge and experience need to come together with care and nurture so that each child can be empowered as a whole and complete individual. With their diverse collection of skills and experiences, our wonderful team is more than up to the challenge.

Jenny Fang

Centre Manager

Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education)
Bachelor of Arts, Major in Archaeology and History
Master of Business Administration

Not only a centre owner but also a dedicated teacher, Jenny’s path into Early Childhood Teaching included not only a degree in teaching, but also in Business Administration and History and Archeology. Born in China but calling New Zealand her home, Jenny brings a wide and unique perspective to her teaching and to the business side of our kindergarten.

“I love children. Their well-being and best outcomes have been the main motivation for starting to  teach more than 10 years ago and for running my own kindergarten. I like to encourage children to try new things while also trying new things with them. We are learning from each other and growing together.

I believe children learn best in a diverse environment, with the support of teachers and their own peers. Thank you for giving me a chance to work with you and your children.”

Elsie Fang

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)

An Auckland local for more than two decades, Elsie is a passionate and experienced teacher. Having qualified in 2012, Elsie has since worked in a diverse range of settings, supporting infants, toddlers, young children and their families on each of their special learning journeys.

“I believe that children develop best in a loving and nurturing environment, surrounded by empathetic and understanding caregivers. It’s important to me that our children experience warmth, positive support and have fun while feeling safe and at home.

It is important for me to continue growing my skills and knowledge in the field of child development, learning from not only research and professional development seminars, but also through collaboration with our team, families and community. I love supporting and learning with children, and I can honestly say that it is my dream career.”

Sam Doesburg

Bachelor of Education (Teaching)

Sam is an outgoing mother and qualified teacher with a decade of experience working with children. She enjoys encouraging and caring for children as they thrive during their learning journey in a fun and dynamic environment, and is committed to encouraging children to participate in and contribute to a wide range of enriching activities.

“Becoming a Mum has definitely made a difference in my view of the role of the teacher, and value the relationship with families and their involvement in their child’s learning at the centre so much more now. I believe a centre should feel like a home and work as a support system for families and children.”
